• Installation

  • RedHat: rpm -Uvh bind-9...i386.rpm
  • Sorcerer: cast bind

• Start

  • /etc/init.d/named start

• /etc/named.conf's indhold:

  • options { directory “/var/namedâ€; };
  • zone “.†{ type hint; file “named.root†};

• named.root = IP-numre på rodservere
